Pope in Krakow
The old man emerges from the metallic bird
bringing blessings from the church in Rome
of which he is the CEO.
Children starve
and yet this man of God
and his companions are well fed.
They travel the world blessing
the naked, the hungry and the dead.
The papal fleet of airplanes alone
gives one pause.
Jesus was a man of no possessions.
He was a man with a message:
"Love God and love one another".
And he traveled the dusty roads of
ancient Israel on foot
until he died at the hands of
religious bureaucrats; who no doubt
lived in the classical luxury
which each generation
of religious kings enjoys as a
matter of course.
Ah yes. No business succeeds
like the selling of religion succeeds.
And is there no business
that is longer lived
than the Catholic Church?
Fly on old gent; fly on.
The cross has served you well.
Tell the story of the widows mite:
one day someone may explain it to you
so that you too can understand
what it is to really live in poverty
as opposed to just taking a vow,

How can we manifest peace on
earth if we do not include everyone (all races, all nations, all religions, both
sexes) in our vision of Peace?
