I regret to inform you that your analysis of the
oil relationship to Iraq vs. North Korea was way off. The missiles were,
in fact, headed to Iraq, but Yemen agreed to keep them instead and the State
Department brushed over the whole thing because, unlike yourself, they
actually have a strategy that makes sense.
The War on Terrorism has a short list of enemies;
the Iraqi regime just happens to be at the top. If their #1 export was
bananas or cheap plastic goods, the priority would be the same. You're
fooling yourself if you think that the peaceful values of our western culture
are shared by the scum of the earth, which is what resides throughout much of
the Middle East, Africa, and Southern Asia.
Nice idea, though; good Luck with WORLDPEACE!
(Hopefully the drug dealers in Houston who have been caught trading drugs for
arms with terrorists will be swept up in your valiant effort...)
